The bass clef, also known as the F clef, is a musical symbol used to indicate the pitch of written notes. It is primarily used for lower-pitched instruments and voices, such as the bass guitar.

Bass Clef Music Stave (Staff)

•  The bass clef staff consists of five horizontal lines and four spaces

   The bass clef symbol (a stylized “F”) is placed on the fourth line of the staff. 

•    The lines of the bass clef staff (from bottom to top) represent the notes: G, B, D, and  A
•    The spaces of the bass clef staff (from bottom to top) represent the notes: A, C, E, G

   A common mnemonic for the lines is “Good Boys Do Fine Always” and for the spaces “All Cows Eat Grass”
